I’m on an ultimate self-care journey, so here are my self-care plans for 2022.
There’s a lot of times where we tend to put the needs of others before our own. Although this is very selfless, we must also put ourselves first. This year, I learned that no matter how good you are to a person, the person you NEED to be good to first is yourself.
I haven’t done much for myself, self-care-wise, this year, and it’s on the top of my list for next year. Based on my interests and what I need the most, I came up with five goals in the name of self-care.
My Self-Care Plans For 2022
Journey To Healthier Skin
If there’s one thing that can get under my skin–it’s my skin (lol). No, seriously, I’ve been on a healthy skin journey for the LONGEST, and nothing is working lightning bolt fast. I know a lot contributes to how your skin operates, like stress, eating healthy, and a face-wash routine.
So, my goal is to put even more effort into this journey and finally live the perfect skin life I’ve always wanted. Even if it means giving up Oreos (Oh, how I love them.)
Early Mornings With Lots of Productivity
If you’re like me, You’re really not a morning person. However, I’ve noticed that when I wake up early, my days are more productive and light. I always fulfill my to-do list, and I even have time to relax. This is self-care for me because it prevents the stress of not getting things done. And, as I said before, I’m sure stress contributes to my lack of healthy skin. I’ve also got into the habit of giving myself time to finish things.
Buying Myself Flowers
I’m not pathetic, I promise. But, I want to start buying myself flowers at least four times next year to show appreciation to myself. Instead of waiting for someone else to do it, I have no problem going into a floral store and browsing these beauties. I might throw a little note in the bouquet from time to time.
As I stated before, I can’t be productive and healthy without getting rest. I intend on spending most of my weekends watching my favorite shows and simply relaxing. Of course, there will be weekends where I’ll have to work or create content, but you can do what’s best for you when you are your own boss.
Lastly, Try/Learn Something New
Get out and enjoy life. That’ll be the theme for next year. I want to learn a new skill, try new foods, learn about different cultures, read a new book, etc… There is so much life that we need to live. Life doesn’t have to be the surroundings you’re used to or the career you started with. Get out and try everything. I know I will.
