If you didn’t read last week’s Weekly Journal, read it now! It’s time for family time!

This week’s weekly journal is all about family time. We live in a world where we see social media and electronics evolving by the second. Nowadays, children as young as 5 have either an iPhone or iPad. I’ve noticed that family time is becoming scarce and I want to change that with mine.

This post will be uploaded later than my usual Sunday weekly journals because I was spending time with my family. My sister and I came up with the idea of a ‘ home’ photoshoot for my cousin’s birthday. This photoshoot eventually turned into a family shoot full of fun and laughs.

There wasn’t a phone in sight.

We all paid attention and listened to the other talk. No one was in a rush to get back to their online life. It was a breath of relief that I believe should happen often, especially since we’re all growing up. I start my fall semester of Grad school next week, and my sister started her fall semester of undergrad last week.

With me writing articles, conducting interviews, and trying to expand my small media business as well, life can get a little busy. However, I still believe it’s possible to have family time often. I’m going to make sure that happens.

There are so many ideas that I have planned. I even create and google forms to send out fun surveys to my family. I do this so I can include their opinions and the days that they are available. The excitement that this brings makes me feel like a young girl with no responsibilities.

The good ole days.

If you’re reading this, this is your sign to spend more time with your family. It’s worth it.
