And we’re back with another Weekly Journal! This week’s topic is being grateful.
Make sure you read last week’s journal: Taking Risks: Weekly Journal
I am so grateful for everything in my life. Sometimes I find myself being too busy to notice that and obviously, that needs to stop. I remember wishing I had my license and a car. It was a struggle getting to campus every day on public transportation, but I did it.
That was only a year ago. Now I have my license and a car, to be honest, it’s still unbelievable. I’ve never been the person who had things handed to me. I’ve always had to work super hard and it’s an amazing feeling to see that hard work pay off.
So, for this week I’m highlighting being grateful. We often forget the way life is sometimes. There are people who would love to be in our positions, even if you think you have the worst life ever.
As I prepare for the fall semester of Grad School, I can’t help but think about how lucky I am. Being accepted into a Master’s program isn’t a piece of cake. I had to go through the regular application process, but I also had to show them my portfolio/byline and do an interview.
I’m so grateful that they accepted me. I’m grateful for the publications that are giving me a chance to write for them. I’m grateful for my mom and sister: my biggest support system. I’m grateful that my family and I are safe & healthy. I’m just 100% grateful for life.
I know there are many obstacles that I’ll continue to face in my lifetime, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can’t wait to continue to grow.
