If I had the option of never overthinking again, I’d jump at the opportunity. It’s too much. I’m getting tired just thinking about it.

Overthinking is something that happens any day, at any time…anywhere. Some people can’t even control it. It’s just something they’ve learned to live with.

However, it’s not healthy nor should it be a trend.

Because, you know, social media loves to create trends out of the weirdest things.

Some people aren’t even aware that they’re an over-thinker, so here are 4 signs that you, indeed, are:

1. You over analyze pieces of your day.

2. You question literally everything, unnecessarily.

3. You create false scenarios in your head.

4. You often wish you could restart the day, to do things over the way you “thought” about.

Whew, child.

I am the type of person that spends a LONG time replaying my day in my head. Just sitting and thinking about what happened.

Then after that, I question the weirdest things. For example, like why I decided to crumble the piece of paper instead of just throwing it away…

Angry much??

NEXT… after I question the dumbest things, I create false scenarios in my head. Like, what would’ve happened if I ripped the paper? Only to find out, it was something important…

Oh, it doesn’t stop there..

It gets worse.

To mess my day up even more, I dwell on how I wish I could “relive” the day and be smarter about it???

It’s weird y’all.

My overthinking isn’t as bad as it was when I was younger, but I still have a lot of work to do.

  1. I used to be much worse but I’ve gotten much better now. As soon as I start the overthinking loop, I stop and do something else – anything else. I think I only overthink in my dating life, to be cautious having had my heart broken before. 🙈

  2. Haha. That’s me too, but i’ve learned to control it since starting meditation practice. Try it, helps a lot!

      1. Maybe you can try Headspace App. I loved it! There are different meditations available in youtube and spotify too. You can try and see what works for you. I used to do these guided meditations long time back. I’ll try and find the link.
