Calm Your Nerves

Lately, I’ve been trying to relax as much as possible.

I’ve worked really hard from high school through college (I just graduated in May) but before that I never got a chance to relax.

It was always work and school. That’s what my daily schedule consisted of. Yes, even on the weekends. I didn’t have any classes on the weekends but I was always a “get it done before hand” type of person when it came to my homework.

So I did assignments days ahead of the due date while working 8+ hour shifts and getting 5-6 hours of sleep.

I was running on determination, but now I realized that was extremely unhealthy and I could’ve made myself sick.

We make a way to work harder but we never make a way to relax. We always claim we don’t have time for that.

There’s too much work that needs to be done.

Think about it this way… you can’t get the work done if you’re laying in a hospital bed.

We need to take much better care of ourselves. We’re really doing better than what we think.

Please don’t say,

My bills don’t get paid with relaxing.

It’s an excuse to me. Of course you need money but you don’t need to overwork yourself.

Put your health first.
