It’s nighttime here in America.

I live in the city so usually the only time I can see the stars in the sky is when there’s a blackout.

Like tonight.

When I look at the sky on nights like this, there’s a slim chance I’ll see the stars align.

Yet I still have hope.

Because when the stars align, I always thought it meant I’ll have good luck or I can wish for anything and it’ll come true.

If that was real, I’d wish for peace and justice.

I’d wish for everyone to be equal.

I’d wish for the senseless violence to stop.

If only it was that easy.

But, I can only hope right?
