Dear Writing,

I don’t think anyone understands my appreciation for you.

You’re not a physical object but you’re something that allows me to stay sane in this crazy world.

I would not be able to express what’s in my head without you.

I was about 9 years old when I grabbed a sheet of paper and began my journey with you.

It started off as small stories, consisting of nothing more than a paragraph. I remember the first story I wrote.

It was a horror story about Jason and crystal lake. (Yes I was scared of looking at horror movies but I loved to write the stories. I love the movies now though).

I was so proud of myself that I started to write more just to see what my imagination looked like on paper.

Then as I got older, I started writing episodes of shows I made up in my head.

That’s how I knew you’d be with me forever.

Thank you for giving me something to look forward to everyday.

Whether it’s a blog post like this, an article, a short story or script, you allow me to be who I am without judgement.
