Reality 101: Stress

Do you ever feel like your head is about to explode while thinking of all the things you need to do or what you don’t have? I know I do. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Stress.

“A state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.”

Stress can be very draining and can even cause anxiety or depression, in some cases not all. So why do we stress if it’s not good for our mind, body, and souls? Well, in my opinion, it’s natural. When so much stuff is due at once, when the demand for something you can’t get is high, and when you’ve done all you could do but it’s still not enough, we stress.

It’s a natural reaction that can be very exhausting. It takes a toll on us mentally and emotionally that changes our moods.

Well, are there any ways to stop Stress? As far as I know, there is no way to stop stress permanently but there are ways to reduce it. They are the following:

  1. Avoid Caffeine, Alcohol, and Nicotine. …
  2. Indulge in Physical Activity. …
  3. Get More Sleep. …
  4. Try Relaxation Techniques. …
  5. Talk to Someone. …
  6. Keep a Stress Diary. …
  7. Take Control. …
  8. Manage Your Time.

Some of those may seem like they wouldn’t work but it doesn’t hurt to try. Don’t let stress take over your mind, body and soul.
